abstract
This paper considers the problem of zeroing the output of a linear system by state-variable feedback. Conditions are derived under which a zero output is maintained at zero, and any nonzero output is made to approach zero as t . In addition, conditions are obtained under which the time response of the system output can be assigned an arbitrarily prescribed set of characteristic exponents. 1972 Academic Press, Inc.
