• Elhassan A.E., Barrufet M.A. and Eubank P.T., 1992. Correlation of the critical properties of normal alkanes and alkanols. Fluid Phase Equilibria, 78: 139-155. A new correlation for the critical temperature and pressure of n-alkanes and n-alkanols is presented based upon combination of the principles of congruence and corresponding states. With only three adjustable parameters, these "power law" correlations are equal to the best current four-parameter correlations. Furthermore, the present correlation is more realistic for extrapolation to high molecular weight compounds in that it does not converge to a limiting Tc or to a non-zero Pc. 1992.
