The database in this publication is a collection of experimental data on 142 reinforced concrete walls, including data on the wall characteristics and expermental results. The database was compiled by several researchers at the Univeristy of Auckland (UOA) and University of Washington (UW). The database consists predominantly of rectangular walls tested under cyclic protocols between 1960s to 2010s. A limited number of barbell walls, T-shaped walls and walls tested under monotonic loading protocols are also included. The walls included in the database are generally classified to have undergone a 'flexure' or 'flexure-shear' failure mechanism. Thus, with a few exceptions, 'squat' walls (aspect ratio <=1) are generally not included. The walls included in the database are 'conventionally' reinforced; thus, walls with unusual detailing (e.g., steel section reinforcement, retrofitted, repaired, unbonded reinforcement, post-tensioned etc.) are not included. The walls included in the database are those that have been published in English publications. A large number of walls is known to have been tested in Japan, these are not included in the database.
