Hurricane Harvey (2017) deposited a massive load of sediment into Lake Houston via the San Jacinto River. The scope of this project is to assess the volume of sediment fill within Lake Houston and determine what portion of this was deposited by Harvey. This will be accomplished by collecting 25 sediment cores within the lake and analyzing these cores in the lab for both stratigraphy as well as chemical markers
