Assessing the Research Practices of Big Data and Data Science Researchers at Texas A&M University: An Ithaka S+R Local Report

The risks and rewards of big data research at Texas A&M University are undocumented and the conveyance of the current practices and needs of researchers across disciplines is difficult to codify. This qualitative needs assessment is part of a multi-institutional study coordinated by Ithaka S+R. This local report seeks to describe the experiences, and perceptions of big data and data science scholars at Texas A&M University in order to identify potential avenues of support by the University Libraries and campus partners.
