abstract
Clark (1985) makes several thoughtful points about studies using the Veiten Mood Induction Procedure (VMIP; Veiten, 1968). We still disagree with his position, and interpret the evidence as supporting that the VMIP is a cognitive manipulation. Furthermore, our cognitive priming position may offer a more parsimonious and coherent explanation of the VMIP findings on mood induction, memory and other mood-linked behaviors. 1985.
