The computer is a powerful creative tool, capable of creating unprecedented work and has revolutionized the way art is conceived, created, and perceived. However, using the computer as an artistic tool requires new techniques and methods of creation to be developed. This thesis describes a new method for generating abstract computer images using a simple and intuitive rendering technique. This technique, inspired by cubism, is based on ray tracing and uses images to define camera parameters. These images are referred to as camera-control images.
