Ferromagnetism in Fe-doped Ba6Ge25 chiral clathrate Academic Article

abstract

• A study to investigate the ferromagnetism in Fe-doped Ba6Ge 25 chiral clathrate was presented. A ferromagnetic transition with Tc=170 K was observed which is the highest observed Tc for a magnetic clathrate. It was observed that the magnetic phase is significantly disordered, and exhibits a transformation to a reentrant spin glass phase.
