abstract
Mn12-acetate film material was made by evaporating a diluted solution of Mn12-acetate powder in acetonitrile. Relaxation of the magnetization was measured at low temperature on the Mn12-acetate film material, and slow relaxation was observed up to 5.5 K. A reduced magnetic moment of the film material was observed by applying a high magnetic field. These facts indicate an increased blocking temperature (TB) of the film material with reduced magnetic moments compared with the as-produced Mn12-acetate. 2006 American Institute of Physics.
