The various quantities, calculated with microscopic models, which have been called separation energies are discussed and related. The relationship of these quantities to experimentally observed quantities is also discussed. The Hartree-Fock method provides the framework for all discussions and is used to carry out calculations of the various quantities which are then compared to the results of experiments in O16. 1971.
