Garvey-Kelson mass formula in the s-d shell uri icon

abstract

  • A literal interpretation of the Garvey-Kelson mass formula is used to relate deviations from the simple predictions for certain sextuplets of nuclei. The large discrepancies between prediction and experiment for 25 Ne, 29 Mg and 33 Si are, in this way, removed. 1974.
