abstract
A new automatic apparatus was developed for measuring phase loops and pressure-volume-temperature properties of natural gas mixtures. Measurements on pure CO2 and propane were used to verify the capabilities of the apparatus. Prediction of the dew point curve with current EOS was unreliable. Patel-Teja, Peng-Robinson, and Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK) EOS could not match all the measured data, but SRK had an advantage over the others. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the AIChE 2004 Annual Meeting (Austin, TX 11/7-12/2004).
