Creation of FELWI using large amplification regime Conference Paper

abstract

• A threshold condition for amplification without inversion in a Free-Electron LaserWithout Inversion (FELWI) is determined. This condition is found to be too severe for theeffect to be observed in an earlier suggested scheme because a threshold intensity of thefield to be amplified appears to be too high. This indicates that alternative schemes haveto be found for making creation of FELWI realistic. Copyright 2012 by IEEE.
