This paper represents the experimental studies of effectiveness of hybrid cathodic protection (CP) system that is a combined system both sacrificial anode cathodic protection system and impressed current one, on reinforced concrete specimens. In many ways, however, cathodic protection system has shown faults especially in reinforced concrete structures. Thus, this hybrid CP system is expected to show a good ability for protection. To apply hybrid CP system, in wet areas such as submerged and tidal zones, sacrificial anode CP system was installed, and in dry areas such as splash and atmospheric zones, impressed current CP system was installed. The test factors were corrosion and protection potential, current and 4-hour depolarization potential. As a result of tests, hybrid CP system can become a good protection method to deal with each system's disadvantages with the good constructing design of anode.
