abstract

• 2018 IEEE. The progress of thin film transistor technology in the past 3 decades have been reviewed. The success of the technology is in the active matrix flat panel application. However, there are a broad range of products that can benefit from this wafer-independent solid state device. New applications and requirements in materials and fabrication processes are discussed. The society and human lives can benefit from new developments of the TFT technology.
