abstract
The integration of computational fluid dynamics and process simulation tools for use in the design of energy plants are described. Several applications are presented illustrating the present capability of the framework for integrating simulations tools for the design of potential Vision 21 components. These include natural gas based proton exchange membrane fuel cell, solid oxide fuel cell, and coal gasification.
