  • 2018 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. Exposure to intimate partner violence is a serious issue for Latinx women and children in the U.S.; however, there is a dearth of knowledge of how to best intervene with this population in order to support better adjustment following experiences of violence. This chapter describes our process of adapting a set of programs for families exposed to intimate partner violence - the Moms' Empowerment Program and the Kids' Club - for Latinx families. As part of this adaptation, we highlight the unique strengths and challenges of working with Latinx populations exposed to violence and provide considerations for future intervention work in this area.
