abstract
2005 by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. The HHT analysis interprets wave nonlinearity in terms of frequency modulation instead of harmonic generation. The resulting spectrum energy concentrates in the neighborhood of the fundamental frequency in comparison with the FFT or wavelet spectrum. The energy flux computation from the HHT spectrum is considerably larger than with the FFT or wavelet spectrum.
