abstract
Using data collected by the CLEO III detector at CESR, we report on the first observation of the decays c+ + + - 0 and c+ +. The branching fractions are measured relative to the pK - + mode; we find B( c+ + + - 0)/B(Lambda; c+pK - +) = 0.360.09(stat) 0.09(syst) and B( c+ +)/B( c+pK - +) = 0.240.06(stat)0.06(syst). We also observe a small excess of events in c+ +, + - 0 from which we find B( c+ +)/B( c+pK - +) = 0.410.170. 10 with a corresponding limit of <0.65% at 90% confidence level. This rate is consistent with previous measurements of c+ +, - . We find that the combined branching fractions for c+Lambda; + and c+ + + - 0)B( c+ comprise (8713) of the total rate. We set an upper limit on B( c+ + + -0)/B c+pK - + for non- and non- modes of 0.13 at 90% confidence level. 2003 The American Physical Society.
