Measurement of the decay rate of Xi(0)(c)-> pK(-)K(-)pi(+) relative to Xi(0)(c)->Xi(-)pi(+) Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • Using the CLEO III detector at CESR, we have measured the branching ratio of the decay c0pK-K -+ relative to c0 -+. We find B(c0 pK-K-+)/B(c0-+) = 0.350.06(stat) 0.03(syst). In the resonant substructure of this mode, we find evidence for c0 decays to pK*(892) 0K-, and measure B(c0pK*(892)0K-) B(K*(892)0K-+)/ B(c0-+) = 0.140.03(stat)0.01(syst) and B(c0pK-K-+) /B(c0-+) = 0.210.04(stat)0.02(syst) for the non-K*(892) 0c0 pK-K -+ decays. 2004 The American Physical Society.
