Compound droplet in extensional and paraboloidal flows Academic Article

abstract

• In this study, simple analytical solutions were derived for the problem of Stokes flow in and around a compound (hybrid) droplet suspended in nonuniform flow fields. Repeated application of sphere theorems revealed that the solutions are in singular form for the droplet placed in axisymmetric extensional and paraboloidal flows.
