Pascal recurrence algorithm for Kekul-structure counts of benzenoid and coronoid hydrocarbons Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • A simple yet general algorithm for counting Kekul structures via a recursive summing of pairs of numbers in preceding hexagons of a benzenoid hydrocarbon is presented. The generalization of the algorithm to count Kekul structures of coronoid hydrocarbons is also indicated. 1990.
