Formation of sub-fs x-ray pulses via infrared modulation of a plasma-based x-ray laser Conference Paper

abstract

• 2018 IEEE. We discuss the possibility of sub-fs x-ray pulse formation by a plasma-based x-ray laser via modulation of its active medium by a moderately strong infra-red laser field. We generalize the results of the paper [T.R. Akhmedzhanov, et al., Phys. Rev. A 96, 033825 (2017)] and discuss the possibilities of their experimental implementation.
