ACTION-ORIENTED, TEAM APPROACH TO BUILDING ENERGY CONSERVATION USING REGRESSION TECHNIQUES AND EXPERT SYSTEMS. Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • An action-oriented, team approach with spreadsheet analysis and forecasting has been developed to track energy consumption in buildings with complex energy consuming subsystems. The action-oriented approach developed differs from traditional energy analysis techniques in that it does not rely entirely on a one time walk-through, nor on computer simulations of the facility. This paper describes the approach as it is currently being applied to three buildings on campus, and presents results from the application of the methodology.
