abstract

  • We demonstrate experimentally the frequency doubling in disordered quadratic nonlinear media in the regime of total internal reflection of the fundamental beam. We show how the transversely emitted second harmonic can be employed for an efficient characterization of short laser pulses. 2009 IOP Publishing Ltd.
