Coherence effects in a photorefractive ring oscillator Academic Article

abstract

• We discuss here the unidirectional photorefractive ring oscillator taking into account the finite coherence time of the pumping light source. We exactly solve wave mixing equations and demonstrate how the loss of coherence due to propagation in an external cavity affects the performance of the oscillator.
