abstract
The emission spectrum of strongly driven two-level atoms in a cavity is calculated outside the adiabatic approximation; i.e., the ratio of the cavity resonance width to the atomic natural linewidth is left arbitrary. This nonadiabaticity changes the character of the spectrum in a significant way. 1990 The American Physical Society.
