abstract
The states with the minimal widths of correlations of a pair of noncommuting operators for the cases of single- and two-mode quadratures of the electromagnetic field and for the case of the angular momentum operators were determined. It was found in the single-mode case that the minimum-correlation state have a unique functional form of a squeezed Gaussian. The two-mode case features a variety of minimum-correlation states, including a two-mode squeezed thermal state.
