abstract
A theoretical model for studying the effects of collisional mixing on subharmonic Raman resonances in nonlinear spectroscopy is developed using the framework of molecular polarizabilities. Explicit expressions for higher order nonlinear mixing susceptibilities like (5) ( 1 , 1 , 1 , - 2 , - 2 ), (5) ( 1 , 1 , 2 , - 2 , - 2 ) are obtained. Simplified expressions for these in the case of small line overlap are also given. 1990.
