abstract
The transmission and scattering of light from spherical microstructures with resonant atomic oscillators is studied. When the atomic resonances are close to the Mie resonances, then new resonances in the extinction cross section arise. The nature of these resonances depends on the density of the microstructure atoms and the feedback from the boundaries of the structure. 1992.
