abstract
Interference phenomena in the second-order correlations of the fluorescence light from ion pairs was investigated. A system of two four-level ions driven by a linearly polarized coherent laser field was used for the experiment. It was shown that the intensity-intensity correlation can display an interference pattern with a visibility of upto 100% when the intensity interferences disappear.
