abstract

  • Through an investigation of the dynamics of solitons in three-level atoms, we demonstrate the possibility of optical pulse control and shaping in coherently driven media. It is also shown that solitons generated in three-level atoms, in contrast to two-level atoms, can propagate at the speed of light. 1997 American Physical Society.
