abstract
A large cooperative effect involving two-atom two-photon vacuum Rabi oscillation in a high-quality cavity is reported. The two photon transitions involving two atoms could be used for generating and detecting different types of entanglement between two field modes and two atoms. The study show that for asymmetric coupling, the probability of two photon emission was quite large but for symmetric couplings, the two photon emission probability was very small. It was found that the condition of two-photon resonance in the case of strong atom-field interaction was modified from its free-space.
