Subwavelength resolution using evanescent waves

abstract

• We discuss how one can achieve subwavelength resolution using incident and scattered evanescent waves. We develop the underlying theoretical framework. We show how radiation from a dipole near a structure serves as its probe. 1998 IOP Publishing Ltd.
