Nonclassical interference effects in the radiation from coherently driven uncorrelated atoms

Analytic calculations are carried out to show that a system of two atoms coherently excited by a cw laser source shows nonclassical features that are dependent on the distance between the atoms. For this purpose, the case where the detector or detectors do not discriminate the light emitted by individual atoms is considered.
