ASUSat lab - Student projects in aerospace Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • Student projects, such as those available through the ASUSat Lab, provide a unique opportunity to combine the educational, research, and service missions of a university in a single program. The projects provide an effective complement to engineering education. Students participate from the initial concept, through the design and development, integration and testing, flight/operation, and data collection. The teams consist of students from varied backgrounds in engineering, science, liberal arts, business, social work, and journalism, and from all levels of experience (principally undergraduate). They participate as interns/fellows/research assistants, volunteers, or receive course credit, and interact closely with industry. 2001 The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc.
