Backwards Lasing in Atmospheric Air from Argon Conference Paper uri icon


  • OSA 2018. We demonstrate backwards lasing in atmospheric air without the need of molecular dissociation or ionization. Broadband femtosecond three-photon excitation of atmospheric Argon leads to stimulated emission. The air laser can be used for standoffdetection.
