abstract
2018 IEEE. Photovoltaic panels array is one of the most common utilized renewable energy sources. Power converter with two stage power processing is needed in order to interconnect PV panels with distribution grid if PV voltage level is not matched. The H-Bridge quasi-Z-Source (HBqZS) converter, which is a single stage power conversion, is promising topology if cost and volume of passive components are properly minimized. However, lowering of passive components' parameters brings issues with double frequency voltage fluctuation on the capacitors of quasi-impedance network. This in turn introduces distortions into grid current. To cope with those challenges, this paper presents s quasi-Z-Source converter with grid current distortion compensation technique which reduces negative impact of double frequency fluctuations of DC voltage on grid current. Prasented in this paper grid current distortion compensation scheme shows excellent results that cope with the existing grid standards.
