abstract
The computer revolution that has taken place in the past five years has dramatically changed the way in which experimental and theoretical solid state science is performed. The purpose of this paper is to describe how computers can be used to enhance the educational process for students of solid state science and electrochemistry, at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Specific computer programs that have been developed will be described, as will additional suggestions for integrating computers into traditional solid state science curricula.
