Coherence And Fluctuations In The Free-Electron Laser: A Fully Quantum Mechanical Approach

abstract

• Recent results on the photon statistics of the free-electron laser regarding start-up, amplification and steady state operation are summarized. The underlying theoretical model is based on the fully quantized Bambini-Renieri Hamiltonian. 1984 SPIE.
