abstract
A binary-tree deterministic model and an independent-marking statistical model were developed to study the delay performance of various multicast feedback-synchronization signaling algorithms. Using these models, it was possible to analyze and contrast the feedback-delay scalability of two representative multicast signaling protocols: Soft Synchronization Protocol (SSP) and Hop-By-Hop (HBH) signaling algorithms.
