Application of the entropy concept in design of water quality monitoring networks Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • Discusses how to use the entropy concept to solve the temporal and spatial problems encountered in design of water quality monitoring networks. The example of suspended sediment data for the Dicle river basin in Turkey shows how to calculate the effects of 1) changing sampling interval or 2) number of stations on total uncertainty. (C.J.U.)
