abstract
An unsteady-stace model of concurrent flow maize drying was developed. It consists of a set of four partial differential equations (PDE) which are solved by finite differences. The PDE model was verified by comparing it to the steady-state concurrent flow dryer simulation. The model was used for the development of a process model which in turn is to be employed for the design of an automatic control system of a two-stage concurrent-flow dryer. 1990, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
