abstract
We consider the charge root mean square (RMS) radii of the chromium isotopes 50,52,54Cr which exhibit an anomalous isotopic shift; the observed radius of 52Cr. We show that long range ground state (RPA) correlations effects can account for the discrepancies between mean-field predictions and the experimental results for the differences in the charge RMS radii of the chromium isotopes 50,52,54Cr. 1988.
