2014 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. Climate change has become a popular and controversial topic in recent decades. From an economic and policy perspective, this article reviews the observed and projected consequences, causal factors, policy approaches, and economic tools associated with climate change. The authors elaborate the implicit value of information related to climate change, an endeavor that has been devoted to developing information. In addition, a mitigation policy that tends to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture and forestry is studied, including approaches, economic works, and challenges. Moreover, this article reviews the adaptation policy from different angles, such as participating parties, strategies, and economic implications.
