abstract
Biomimetic macroporous and nano-fibrous gelatin scaffolds were first fabricated by using a novel phase separation and paraffin leaching technique. The NF-gelatin scaffolds possess high porosities, well-interconnected macropores, and nano-fibrous pore wall morphology. The NF-gelatin scaffolds showed great dimensional stability to support cells growth. The incorporation of apatite into the NF-gelatin scaffolds enhanced the mechanical strength and osteogenic differentiaion.
