APPLICATION OF THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD TO FIELD DRAINAGE PROBLEMS. Conference Paper

abstract

• A finite element solution to the Richards equation for combined saturated-unsaturated flow is applied to four field drainage problems. Three methods of representing drainage tubes in the finite element grid are demonstrated. Simulation examples are included.
