Synthesis, characterization and degradation of poly(silyl ester)s Conference Paper

abstract

• Poly(silyl ester)s were prepared by transsilylation reactions of bis(chlorosilyl)hexanes with bis(trimethylsilyl)esters. Higher hydrolytic and thermal stabilities were achieved through isopropyl substitution on silicon atoms and incorporation of phenylene groups into the polymer backbone.
