Thinking in Stories Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • 2016 Authors. This paper addresses the use of storytelling as a frameframework to design systems that support high-level thinking. Specifically, we examine whether narrativebased visual design may help students to perform better in literature review & synthesis. A prototype system 'StoryTree' was developed to enable a user study with tertiary students. Initial results showed promise of the approach of narrative-based design for cognitive tools.
