abstract
A statistical mechanics-based lattice model is used for modelling the phase equilibria of binary solid mixtures with supercritical fluids. The numbers of contact pairs between segments of molecules are approximated by a Taylor series truncated after the second-degree term. The results obtained are fairly good. The parameters extracted from correlating experimental data are in agreement with a simple mechanistic explanation of the different solubility behaviours of the ternary systems. 1991.
